Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely credited with beginning the current scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victimes as witness in legal circumstances. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and has been awarded numerous national and international prizes. She has worked with many organisations and governments across the world on policy and research relating to children who have been victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
