Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in America. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White on the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her interest in performing on stage. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons performing in Chicago the theatre before moving to television and film. Anna's first big character was Arden on Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. Anna continued appearing in films as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of the 1990's. She was then cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also an integral part of her professional career. Gunn was on stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes The Numbered Days series, which released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's life.
